Wir heissen jetzt Onuā.

Nach über 20 Jahren als Massage Altstetten haben wir einen neuen Namen und einen neuen Auftritt. Was sich nicht ändert, ist alles, worauf es ankommt.

Dieselbe Praxis. Dieselben Hände. Dieselbe Haltung. Die Therapeut:innen, die du kennst, der Ort, an den du seit Jahren kommst, die Sorgfalt, die du von uns gewohnt bist.

Onuā ist nicht neu im Kern. Es ist die Form, die wir uns für diesen Ort schon lange gewünscht haben: klarer, ruhiger und näher an dem Gefühl, mit dem wir dir seit Jahren begegnen.

Den Unterschied wirst du am Schild an der Tür sehen, am neuen Logo, an der Website. Sobald du aber auf der Liege liegst, ist alles wie immer.

Story

It began with an experience

Sometimes a single moment changes everything. A doctor had already recommended surgery. But Ansel’s father-in-law, himself a massage therapist, looked at the problem differently. With experience, patience and his hands, he resolved what had previously seemed possible only through an operation.

For Ansel, it was more than relief. It was a thought that stayed with him. He began his training with a question that still guides him today: What might be possible if you did not only treat what hurts, but understood why?

Early on, he noticed that many treatments focused mainly on easing symptoms. He was interested in something else: the origin. The connections. The moment when a problem truly begins to resolve.

In January 2005, he opened his own practice; two years later it found its place in Zurich-Altstetten. What began small has grown over the years. Not through advertising, but through recommendations. People come to Onuā because someone has told them: “They finally helped me there.”

After more than 21 years, it is still the same moment that drives him. When someone says: “I had this problem for years. And now it’s gone.”

Philosophy

Causes, not symptoms.

The body is always speaking to us. Sometimes quietly, sometimes clearly. Tension, pain, restrictions. They are rarely the real problem. They are signs.

That is why our work does not begin where it hurts, but where the body’s story can be understood. We listen, observe and feel our way forward step by step. Standard treatments do not interest us. Every person brings a different story. And that is exactly where every treatment at Onuā begins.

The same address in Zurich-Altstetten since 2007. A calm place that has grown over the years without changing its attitude. No big marketing, no loud promises. Only experience, attention and hands that know what they are doing.

For Ansel, quality does not stop at the treatment. It begins with the oil on your skin, with the treatment table you lie on, with the atmosphere that receives you. Every detail in the practice is chosen with care. Because what you feel before the treatment begins matters just as much as the treatment itself.

Onuā is a member of leading Swiss professional associations and is recognised by most supplementary insurance providers. But what truly defines the practice is less the certificate on the wall than the attitude behind it: humanity and professionalism. From the very beginning.

What began as a personal experience became a calling. For more than 21 years, Ansel has worked with a clear conviction: pain rarely disappears for good when you only treat the surface.

His strength lies in recognising connections — observing patiently, listening closely, and finding the point where a problem truly begins. When he is not at the practice, he spends time with his family, trains at the gym, or works on his own 100 % natural products, such as oils and creams.
